K. V. Reddy directed the Indian epic Hindu mythical film Mayabazar. It is known to be one of the greatest Telegu films ever produced. Nagi Reddi and Chakrapani produced it through their company, Vijaya Productions.
The film was shot concurrently in Telugu and Tamil, with minor cast variations. The story is based on the characters from the epic Mahabharata and is an adaptation of the folk tale Sasirekha Parinayam.
The Hindu epic Ramayana tells the story of the Pandava invasion of the Kauravas by Duryodhana and Shakuni. Subhadra, daughter of Balarama and Krishna, marries a Pandava named Arjuna; their son Abhimanyu falls in love with Sasirekha.

Mahanati is a Telugu-language biographical drama film based on actress Savitri’s life.
